DPNCheck®, originally developed as a spinoff from the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology in 1996, is a rapid, point-of-care diagnostic device designed for the detection of peripheral neuropathies. In 2025, the product portfolio and its technology were acquired by The Electrode Store (TES) and Alera Medtech, strengthening its global reach and manufacturing capabilities.
DPNCheck’s U.S. headquarters and manufacturing operations are based in Buckley, Washington.
The Electrode Store (TES)
Founded in 1975, TES is a trusted manufacturer, designer, and distributor of premium neurodiagnostic supplies used in EMG, NCS, EEG, and IONM. TES operates an FDA-registered and ISO 13485, MDSAP, and CE Mark-certified facility near Seattle, capable of both general and clean-room assembly for sterile Class II medical devices. TES manages DPNCheck’s operations and distribution within North America and Japan.
Alera Medtech
Alera Medtech is a diversified medical technology company responsible for DPNCheck’s global sales and distribution (excluding North America and Japan). Headquartered in Greater Boston, Alera maintains a global footprint with operations in India, UAE, Turkey, and Malaysia, and an emerging presence in EU
and the UK. The company holds multiple patents in catheter securement, electrode stabilization, and infection control devices.
